NITK is a requirement for students to obtain certification. In Ministerial Regulation, Research, Technology and Higher Education Number 61 of 2016 concerning PDDIKTI, one of the data that universities must report is the educational staff component. Therefore, the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education issues NITK as a registration number for students.

UMJ Deputy Chancellor II, Dr. Ir. Mutmainah, MM, who was present at this event, gave his appreciation to the students who had passed NITK stage I. At the faculty level, students are the front guard who serve all students' needs. "We have to be serious about providing training for students every semester, and maybe later we can collaborate with third parties. "I hope that with NITK, students' performance will improve so that they can become examples for students who are not yet certified," said Mutmainah.

"Our target is that all permanent employees have their NITK recognized. In NITK management, staff must remain productive because they will be in contact with national staff. "The essence of recognizing someone's competence is an award from the government in accordance with the words of the 1945 Constitution," said Head of the UMJ SDI Section, Bambang Irawan, M.Pd.

Participants of the teaching staff (tendik) of the Muhammadiyah University of Jakarta (UMJ) while listening to material in the meeting room of the Perintis II Building, Wednesday, (06/09/2023).

NITK is one of the Main Performance Indicators (IKU) of Higher Education Service Institutions (LLDIKTI), which requires private universities to have 75% certified employees. This was conveyed by the Head of the UMJ Data, Information and Technology Center, Taufiqurrochman, M.Kom., who explained the use of the UMJ Integrated Resource Information System (SISTER) in this activity.

Participants are required to log in to SISTER as an advanced stage of NITK. Later, the SISTER account will contain competency training according to the fields listed in the NITK data, such as computer personnel, librarians, archivists, public relations officers, polyclinic managers, and educational laboratory personnel.

Through the Ministry of Education and Culture's NITK program, SDI proposed 64 students from all fields at UMJ. Required requirements include personal profile, CPNS SK or employee SK, placement decree as an employee, educational history, and rank history. The 41 UMJ students who passed came from ten UMJ faculties, Clinical Staff, General and SDI Bureau, Planning and Finance Bureau, Academic and Student Affairs Administration Bureau, University Secretariat Office, Library, SPS, and PDTI.
