BEM FKM UMJ Provides CV Writing Training to Students

The Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Public Health, University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta (BEM FKM UMJ) provided training on writing Curriculum Vitae (CV) to students on Sunday (03/09/2023) which was held online. This training is a realization of the work program of the Interest and Talent Department of BEM FKM UMJ by presenting three resource persons who are competent in their fields, namely Haris Hendrik (Imperial College London Overseas LPDP Awardee & Founder of Lensa Pendidikan Indonesia), Raisal MF (Merdeka College London Campus Internship & Founder Indonesian Education Lens), and Annenova Carolwyna (Talent Support Manager at Dibimbing.id & Ex Recruitment Consultant at Glints).
A CV is one of the important things that must be attached when applying for a job, so the CV must be made as attractive as possible and in accordance with the criteria for the position you are applying for. Carrying the theme Unlocking The Outstanding CV for Maximizing Our Experience , this training aims to help students open the gates to entering the world of work.
On this occasion, CV Training participants were taught how to create an attractive and creative CV. Haris Hendrik as the first resource person conveyed what things need to be considered so that a CV looks attractive and of good quality, namely by increasing experience in various things, starting from organizational experience, work experience and achievements that a person has achieved. "CVs must always be updated so that they remain relevant to our current conditions, not left alone for a long time because human achievements will definitely continue to develop," stressed Haris.
Followed by the second resource person, Raisal MF explained the differences between CV Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and CV Creative. Raisal also explained about the use of ATS CV, Creative CV and do's and don'ts when creating a CV. Raisal also does not hesitate to provide his knowledge about what things need to be considered when making a CV so that it looks professional and not boring.
Ended by the third resource person, Annenova Carolwyna, who spoke about how to build personal branding on LinkedIn and CV media so that it will be noticed by Human Resource Development (HRD). LinkedIn is a social media that allows users to connect with each other in the world of work so that it is not only used by jobseekers , but can also be used by recruiters in looking for candidates who match the company's criteria or the position required.
Attended by 71 CV Training participants, all participants seemed enthusiastic about taking part in this training. Apart from presenting the material, participants were given the opportunity to review the CV they had created.
