Muhammadiyah University Jakarta received a visit from the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology represented by a monitoring team in order to monitor certification allowances for non-Civil Servant (PNS) Lecturers at UMJ on Tuesday (12/09/2023) in the Building UMJ Rectorate. This monitoring is useful so that government services regarding the distribution of lecturer certification can run transparently and smoothly.
On this occasion, the Chancellor of UMJ, Prof. Dr. Ma'mun Murod, M.Si., in his speech said, "It looks like there will be more budget issues. "It is difficult for lecturers to demonstrate, if the lecturer's certification is terminated, including the allowances are terminated, it will lower the quality of Indonesian education,"
Furthermore, Ma'mun also believes that there are still many Ministry of Education and Culture policies that are still inappropriate. Both related to the issue of accreditation of universities, study programs, and so on. "I hope that the government is committed to improving the quality and quantity of lecturers who are certified or not," added Ma'mun, expressing his hopes.
In line with the implementation of monitoring lecturer certification allowances, Mulyani as the monitoring team stated that the aim of this activity was to ensure whether lecturers who received this professional allowance had fulfilled the requirements as stated in Ministry of Education and Culture Regulation number 20 of 2017.
"Our activity is monitoring certification allowances for non-PNS lecturers, because what we are targeting are private universities. "Hopefully with this, the process or management of professional allowances for non-PNS lecturers at UMJ, generally in the LLDIKTI Region III Jakarta area , will be better managed," explained Mulyaningsih.
“This is also an improvement by us. What things are still lacking in allowances, both regarding the smooth running of allowances and also mechanisms for monitoring and evaluation as well as our orderly mechanisms for reporting lecturers' learning assignments. "We hope that the management of Lecturer Workload (BKD) and lecturer certification can run smoothly," added Deputy Chancellor II UMJ, Dr. Ir. Mutmainah, MM.
On this occasion, UMJ was brought in by the Ministry of Education and Culture's team consisting of four monitoring teams and 12 UMJ lecturers who were certification participants. Each lecturer certification participant conducts an interview with the monitoring team, where the results of this interview are useful as feedback for the Ministry of Education and Culture regarding lecturer certification allowances. This activity was also attended by UMJ Vice Chancellors, as well as lecturer certification participants.
