Rano Karno Gives KIP Scholarships to UMJ Students

Member of Commission _ _ _ _ 05/09/2023) . A total of 70 prospective new UMJ students received KIP scholarship assistance for college.  

Since 2021 until now, more than 200 UMJ students have received KIP scholarship assistance. The form of KIP scholarship assistance provided is in the form of free education fees for 8 semesters and pocket money each semester. The recipients of this KIP college scholarship are students who have high academic achievements and enthusiasm for learning, but have economic limitations.

"The provision of the KIP scholarship to UMJ by Bung Rano Karno is a form of inner bond with Muhammadiyah which is given with full integrity. Of course, this is also his duty as a member of Commission X DPR RI in charge of education." This was conveyed by the Chancellor of UMJ, Prof. Dr. Ma'mun Murod, M.Sc., in his speech.

"One of the state's duties is to make the nation's life more intelligent and this is part of the state's duties which must be successful," added Ma'mun.

On the same occasion, Rano emphasized that this government program must be delivered well. "As a member of the DPR RI, this is my duty, especially in the field of education. "I am grateful to have the right to aspiration for students, one of which is UMJ students," concluded Rano.

"Thank God I can distribute KIP at UMJ, even though it is not actually the first KIP. "I hope that students don't get stuck in their studies and I hope this will be useful," added Rano.

Closing his remarks, he advised prospective new UMJ students receiving KIP scholarships to continue to be enthusiastic about studying and graduate on time.

This event was also enlivened by giving door prizes to students. Attended by the UMJ Vice Chancellors, Deans and Deputy Deans as well as parents and prospective new students receiving KIP scholarships for college.
