The DKI Jakarta Aisyiyah Regional Leadership Health Council (PWA) socialization and education program to reduce stunting rates has received support from the Head of Senen Subdistrict and Camdistrict Secretary, Central Jakarta. This was conveyed by the Secretary of the Senen Winetrin District Head when giving a speech at the Socialization and Education event at the An Nur RPTRA (Child Friendly Integrated Public Space), Friday (15/09/2023).

He is grateful and grateful to PWA DKI Jakarta for being concerned about health issues, especially stunting . Winetrin explained that even though Jakarta is a metropolitan city, the risks and rates of stunting are quite worrying. The series of socializations with the theme Creating a Golden Generation by Reducing Stunting Rates is fully supported by Senen District.

“This event is useful for parents, especially mothers. We are grateful because Aisyiyah really cares. "We hope that this event can be attended well and completely," said Winetrin. Furthermore, Winetrin hopes that socialization and education can be carried out in four other sub-districts in the Senen District area because according to him it is very necessary for parents.

The Chairman of PWA DKI Jakarta, Dra. Syamsidar Siregar, S.IP. "It is the same as what the sub-district head said yesterday about socialization and education in the other four sub-districts. "We hope that the people of all sub-districts in Senen District will have the opportunity to receive education in the future," concluded Syamsidar.

Socialization and education presented four speakers, namely Dr. Sugiatmi, SP., MKM., Lily Herlina Ns, Sp.Kep.Kom., Imas Yuliati, and Dra. Syamsidar, S.IP. The outreach and education provided to accelerate the reduction in stunting rates includes the preparation period, namely pre-wedding, pregnancy, up to the first 1000 days of birth.

Dr. Sugiatmi, SP., MKM., who is the Chair of the Nutrition Science Study Program, Faculty of Medicine and Health (FKK) UMJ , explained that stunting is the focus because data shows that from 2013 to 2023 the reduction in stunting rates has not reached the target of 14 percent. "Aisyiyah contributes to efforts to reduce stunting rates through Rumah Gizi Aisyiyah," said Sugiatmi.

The Rumah Gizi Aisyiyah program aims to improve nutritional status and prevent stunting as well as develop community-based food sovereignty and food security. Parents and cadres are also given an understanding of reproductive health.

Regarding reproductive health, it was explained by Lily Herlina Ns, Sp.Kep.Kom., lecturer at the Faculty of Nursing (FIK) UMJ. "Reproductive health needs to be prepared before marriage because it affects the quality of the generation," he said. Therefore, pre-pregnancy health services are provided to support the reduction of maternal and infant mortality rates (MMR and IMR) and stunting .

Then, parents also need to pay attention to the best nutrition that can support the quality of their child's growth and development. Senen District Health Center Nutritionist Imas Yuliati conveyed the importance of giving exclusive breast milk (ASI) in the first six months of birth.

Seeing how important nutrition is for children, Aisyiyah created the Rumah Gizi Aisyiyah program which can facilitate the community in terms of consultation, education and assistance in monitoring children's development. This was conveyed by Dra. Syamsidar Siregar, S.IP., when explaining the Aisyiyah Nutrition House program.

Syamsidar explained that currently there are 5 Aisyiyah Kitchens in DKI Jakarta. Furthermore, he hopes that PWA DKI Jakarta's activities with the community will not stop at socialization but can form a communication forum. Previously, PWA DKI Jakarta had provided outreach and education to the Kramat Village community.

The socialization was attended by dozens of cadres and parents and was attended by DKI Jakarta PWA ranks. Apart from receiving exposure from various sources, parents were also given a book containing the Healthy Aisyiyah Movement (GRASS) and all matters regarding efforts to improve the quality of children's growth and development.
