Head of LLDIKTI Region III Prof. Dr. Toni Toharudin, S.Sc., M.Sc., said that the contributions of Professors would always be looked forward to in building a stronger and more competitive nation. This was conveyed when delivering a speech at the Inauguration of Professor Prof. Evi Satispi, M.Si., and Prof. Iswan, M.Si., in the Auditorium dr. Syafri Guricci, Tuesday (26/09/2023).

"The more professors there are, the more potential and contribution will be made in the development of science and technology. "Hopefully UMJ can continue to produce superior generations to support the acceleration of the quality of education in Indonesia," he concluded.

According to Toni, the inauguration moment is not just an award but also to celebrate achievements in the academic world. "Professor is not just a title, but there are roles and responsibilities that must be carried out, especially in advancing the life of the nation," he added.

Through this inauguration, Toni hopes that the two Professors can become role models and role models for lecturers and students within the UMJ environment. Apart from that, it also enriches knowledge, understanding, provides motivation and inspiration for lecturers.

Therefore, Toni encouraged Jakarta Muhammadiyah University lecturers to immediately take care of promotions to academic positions. According to him, this is also part of the efforts towards superior UMJ accreditation. Toni emphasized that one of the assessments to achieve excellence is in the HR (Human Resources) aspect.

"I want the lecturers at UMJ to immediately take care of their promotions because soon UMJ will move towards excellence. Based on the simulations carried out, it can already be superior. But there are several things, especially HR. "So the hope is that the Chancellor can encourage young lecturers to be promoted from Expert Assistant to Lector, Lector to Associate Professor, and Associate Professor to Professor," he stressed.

Apart from that, Toni explained that LLDIKTI Region III always encourages UMJ in its efforts towards excellence, including involving UMJ in collaboration with foreign universities. According to Toni, one of the strategic steps that UMJ can take is to carry out an international student exchange program.

“There is no need to take students from developed countries. "UMJ can collaborate for international student exchanges from countries that are more easily accessible, namely the closest neighboring countries, for example Timor Leste, the Philippines and Thailand," he said.

Not only that, LLDIKTI Region III also carried out reforms in the administrative process, especially the promotion of the highest academic position, namely from Associate Professor to Professor. "The promotion progress from 20 days to 8 days, so the administration process will be faster," he explained.

Prof. Dr. Iswan, SE, M.Si., was appointed as a Professor in the Field of Educational Management Administration Science, Faculty of Education, UMJ through the Decree of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia Number 30986/M/07/2023 concerning Promotion of Lecturer Academic Positions, starting from June 1, 2023.

Prof. Dr. Evi Satispi, M.Sc., was appointed as Professor in the Field of Public Administration, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, UMJ, through the Decree of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia Number 37010/M/07/2023, effective June 1 2023.

The two Professors were solemnly inaugurated by the Chair of the UMJ Senate, Prof. Dr. Masyitoh Chusnan, M.Ag., and witnessed by the UMJ academic community along with family and relatives. Also present was the Chairman of the Daily Advisory Board, Prof. Dr. Abdul Mu'ti, M.Ed., Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ma'mun Murod, M.Sc. along with the Vice Chancellors, Deans at UMJ.

Also present was Member of the PP Muhammadiyah Diktilitbang Council, Prof. Dr. Armai Arief, M.Ag., Invited Professor namely Prof. Dr. Ahmad, Ph.D. from Muhammadiyah University Purwokerto, and Prof. Yulianto from Lampung State University.
