UMJ Collaborates with the University Center of Naama Al Jazair

Muhammadiyah University Jakarta (UMJ) collaborates with the University Center of Naama Al Jazair , in the Chancellor's Room, Muhammadiyah Civilization Center Building, Tuesday (10/10/2023). The collaboration was formalized by signing a Memorandum of Understanding by the UMJ Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ma'mun Murod, M.Si., and representative of the University Center of Naama Al Jazair Dr. Mansur Riyad.

Ma'mun, accompanied by the Head of the International Affairs Office (KUI) Endang Zakaria, MH.,  welcomed Dr. Mansur Riyad who is the Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs. The collaboration agreed between the two universities covers the fields of education, research including student and lecturer exchanges.

"This visit is very meaningful and valuable for UMJ which is trying to strengthen internationalization. "As previously discussed, we will collaborate in several matters, including sending students to each other to study," said Ma'mun when asked for information after the meeting.

Ma'mun added that students who undertake the exchange program will receive scholarships according to the provisions at their respective universities. "We are ready to collaborate in the context of student and lecturer exchanges. Including receiving learning from Algeria, both Masters and Doctoral Programs. "We will try it together," he said.

Dr. Mansur Riyad explained that even though the distance between Indonesia and Algeria is quite far, this does not dampen enthusiasm and sincerity in carrying out cooperation. Mansur hopes that cooperation between UMJ and the University Center of Naama can run closely.

On this occasion he invited the Chancellor of UMJ to make a return visit to the University Center of Naama. Mansur also expressed his gratitude to PP Muhammadiyah which has become a communication bridge between the University Center of Naama and UMJ.
