UMJ FKM Students Participate in the Inauguration of Muhammadiyah Aisyiyah Tangsel City

Four students from the Faculty of Public Health, Muhammadiyah University of Jakarta (FKM UMJ ), namely Dimas Imam Prayogo, Naufal Alif Ramadhan, Adipatra Kenaro, and Delia Azkia were officially invited to take part in the joint inauguration activities of Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah of South Tangerang City. This activity was held in the Blandongan Hall, South Tangerang City Hall Building, Saturday, (23/09/2023).

Inauguration is a tradition at Muhammadiyah to confirm its validity as an agenda to strengthen trust, motivation and dedication to lead Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah for the next 5 years. Apart from that, this activity also aims to introduce members of the Banten Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership (PWM) and Aisyiyah Regional Leadership (PDA) along with the PDM and PDA South Tangerang (Tangsel) Councils and Institutions for the 2022-2027 period.

The Mayor of South Tangerang City, H. Benyamin Davnie, in his speech said that education in South Tangerang experienced problems during the New Student Admission (PPDB) process. "There are Muhammadiyah schools in South Tangerang for various groups, from lower to middle class. "This is one solution to formal education in South Tangerang," he said.

Furthermore, he said there were still many challenges for South Tangerang city in the future, such as infrastructure and law. Davnie also highlighted the problem of air pollution, which he said the South Tangerang city government had been working on by planting trees, emission tests, etc.

Chairman of PWM Banten, Dr. KH. Saad Ibrahim, MA., also gave a message for Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership (PDM) and PDA administrators to avoid the three diseases of division. "The three diseases are Ananiyah, namely egoism, Ashabiyah, namely feeling superior, and Hisbiyah, namely being too fanatical about the organization," said Saad.

The inauguration event began with a dance performance from SMA Muhammadiyah 25 Setiabudi Pamulang. This was then continued with the launch of the Tangsel City Muhammadiyah website, namely tangselmu.id, as well as screening video testimonials from various figures and Tausyiyah by the Chairman of PP Muhammadiyah.

FKM UMJ student who was also invited to the activity, Delia Azkia expressed her great hopes to the newly inaugurated management of Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah Tangsel. He hopes that Muhammadiyah in Tangsel can keep up with the speed of issues developing among the people of South Tangerang City, which is in line with Muhammadiyah's main programs, namely schooling, feeding and healing.

This inauguration was also attended by the Chairman of the Aisyiyah Banten Region, Dr. KH. M. Syamsuddin, M.Pd., Chairman of the Aisyiyah Banten Region, Dr. Hj. Ima, Ni'mah, Chair of the South Tangerang KPU, M. Taufiq MZ, and invited teacher representatives from Muhammadiyah schools.
