Muhammadiyah University Jakarta (UMJ) through the Office of Cooperation and International Affairs (KKUI) provides scholarships for international students. The scholarship will be given to 37 foreign students, currently 16 students have joined, including from Yemen, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan.

These international students take undergraduate to doctoral education levels spread across several faculties, including the Faculty of Engineering (FT) , Faculty of Education (FIP) , Faculty of Public Health (FKM) , and Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) . UMJ has collaborated with many well-known universities in the world and regularly provides scholarships to foreign students.

KKUI is responsible for arranging academic collaboration agreements between UMJ and other institutions, including education, government agencies, and industry both at home and abroad. The head of KKUI, Endang Zakaria, said that providing scholarships is one step in spreading the message of Muhammadiyah and UMJ to the international world.

"Our goal is to spread the message of Islam, especially the message of Muhammadiyah, to them. "How can we inspire their love for Muhammadiyah, by giving them the opportunity to study for free at UMJ," said Endang when met in the KKUI room, Friday (22/9/23).

UMJ provides scholarship facilities in the form of tuition fees, dormitories, visa fees and Limited Stay Permit Cards (KITAS). Not only that, to support learning for international students, UMJ provides Indonesian language learning program facilities. The program is directly supervised by the UMJ Cooperation and International Affairs Office (KKUI).
